Architectural Charity Quiz: Masterminds of architecture
Physical and online quiz for two good architectural causes
ARCHITECT@WORK and Architectura are joining forces to organise an architecture quiz, all proceeds of which will be donated to two charities with a strong link to architecture.
Architects but also other architecture lovers can participate in groups of three. It is an online quiz that can be played both on the fair floor and remotely via live streaming.
Architects Without Borders
Architects Without Borders provides design and construction expertise to communities around the world affected by poverty, conflict, disaster or facing major social challenges. The aim is to improve people's living conditions through sustainable architecture and urban planning.
Maggies by DMOA Architects
The Maggies are modular and circular tents by DMOA Architects, designed for rapid deployment to vulnerable groups such as the homeless and refugees. They offer a sustainable solution that combines the efficiency of tents with the comfort of permanent buildings. This project shows how architecture can encourage social change, by contributing to better living conditions.
Practical information:
- Registration is possible with groups of maximum 3 people. It is also possible to participate in the quiz with 2 or even individually.
- Answers to the questions will be via the ahaslides tool.
* You will have to type the following URL on your smartphone: www.ahaslides.com/superskin
* Alternatively, you will also be able to scan a QR code that day.
- To register, you will need to provide your group name in advance so that we can already load it into the system.
* This can be done via: link to be communicated later
- Before the quiz starts, each player must log in on ahaslides and indicate which group he belongs to.
- The faster you answer the question, the more points this will earn for a correct answer. Any member of the group may answer via his smartphone, but only the answer of the first in the group to answer counts.
- The quiz is bilingual. The questions will be asked in both NL and in FR.
- Registration is free, but ARCHITECT@WORK, Architectura and certainly DMOA and Architecten zonder Grenzen would appreciate it if you made a free donation. This can be done by depositing money on account number: to be communicated later. All income from the entry fee and sponsorship will be transferred in full to the two charities.
- A nice prize is provided, both for the first teams present at the event and those participating digitally. These prizes will be donated by the quiz sponsors.
